Rainbow Steps

We’re surprised we haven’t seen this before. Now that we see it, we say “Of course!” Stairsteps every shade of the rainbow. This is delightful for kids and grown-ups who want more color in their lives. It’s not that difficult either–but it does involve sanding, using paint primer, and getting 14 shades of paint. 

The results are stunning. This is an ideal staircase if the rest of your home has a conservative color scheme and needs some excitement. This idea works well with a solid color scheme–and it will go with almost any color. This doesn’t need to lead to a kid’s bedroom. Grownups love this project too. Of course, you can enlist the kids to help.
