Freshen the Washer with Mouthwash 

It’s always frustrating when a load of laundry doesn’t come out with a fresh smell. Regardless of using soap and a great-smelling fabric softener, the issue may not be solved. The washing machine itself may be the source of the problem, as dirty water sits and leaves bacteria and mold inside. Try running an empty cycle on the washing machine with a little mouthwash. 

This eliminates the damp, moldy smell and disinfects the washer, making your clothes come out clean afterward. We may not consider mouthwash when thinking of how to clean our appliances, but its ability to kill germs and bacteria give this product many helpful household uses!
