DIY Mirror Frame
Transform a plain mirror into a decorative statement piece with a DIY frame.
Begin by selecting a frame material that complements your style, such as reclaimed wood, decorative molding, or even repurposed items like old window frames. Measure and cut the frame pieces to fit around the mirror, ensuring they overlap at the corners for a seamless look. Sand the edges and corners for a smooth finish. Apply wood glue or adhesive to the back of the frame pieces and attach them to the edges of the mirror, pressing firmly to ensure a secure bond. Allow the glue to dry completely. If desired, paint or stain the frame to match your decor or add a pop of color.
Once dry, hang your newly framed mirror on a wall or lean it against a surface for a stylish and personalized touch to any room.
