Cornstarch Polishes Tarnished Silver
Cornstarch is a great base for many food dishes, but can also be used to clean tarnished silverware. Without any elbow grease, their shine can be restored with cornstarch paste. Cornstarch’s consistency is easy to make into a paste by adding a little water. Keep the mixture thick rather than runny.
Simply coat the utensils with the paste and let it dry. Afterward, wipe off the dried mixture and we’re left with silverware that looks as good as new. Cornstarch does a great job bringing shine back to the most worn-down utensils. This trick can be applied to other silver objects as well, including jewelry and antiques.
